Privacy Policy
Effective September 1, 2025
This policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and retain information in connection with the use of the Evalis service, accessible at https://evalis.ca. It applies only to services offered in Québec and exclusively to condominium buildings that are at least one year old. Newly built or under-construction buildings are excluded.
1. Personal Data Collected
We only collect the information necessary to create a user account:
▪ First and last name
▪ Email address
▪ Password (encrypted)
We do not collect or store credit card numbers. All payments are processed through a secure third party compliant with PCI-DSS standards.
2. Documents Provided for Analysis
Evalis requires condominium-related documents (e.g., declaration of co-ownership, financial statements, meeting minutes, reserve fund study, etc.). These documents must not contain any personal information. The user is responsible for having authorization from the condominium syndicate to share these documents.
Evalis does not use these documents for commercial purposes and analyzes them solely to produce the requested report.
3. Data Retention
Documents provided are retained for a maximum of three years, exclusively for the following purposes:
▪ Reuse for other reports concerning the same condominium
▪ Production of anonymized statistics for overall analysis (e.g., average risk by region)
User accounts are retained as long as they remain active. They can be deleted upon request.
4. Aggregated Statistics
Evalis reserves the right to produce global statistics from completed reports. These data are always anonymized and cannot identify a user, a condominium, or an address.
5. Data Location and Security
All data are hosted in Canada in facilities that comply with industry security standards.
We apply strict measures:
▪ Restricted and logged access
▪ Secure connections (HTTPS)
▪ Encrypted data
▪ Controlled backups
▪ A designated Privacy Officer in accordance with Law 25
6. Cookies
Evalis does not use any non-essential cookies. Only cookies strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the site (e.g., session management) are used. No advertising, marketing, or behavioral tracking cookies are activated.
7. Consent and Responsibility
By using our services, you consent to this policy.
You are responsible for:
▪ Obtaining authorization from the syndicate before sharing documents
▪ Not transmitting any unnecessary personal information
▪ Evalis disclaims all liability in the event of unauthorized use or inadequate content in submitted documents.
8. Your Rights
You may, at any time:
▪ Access your account data
▪ Request the deletion of your account and associated documents
▪ Ask any questions related to data protection
